About me

I’ve worked with words for a long time. After graduating with a degree in Geography from the University of Sussex, I started out in local newspapers as a trainee with the Liverpool Post and Echo group. I’ve worked as a Westminster-based political reporter with the Press Association and was a national newspaper Environment Correspondent. My last staff job was as a production journalist with BBC TV working with John Craven on Countryfile and on the consumer programme The Really Useful Show. I’ve also had experience of life on the other side of the fence during a spell as PR for the National Forest. When I’m not working I like to be out and about in west Wales walking, kayaking, wildlife-watching and pub-hunting.
